A leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and a former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been sued before a Lagos State High Court over an alleged diversion of N150 billion being commission received for collection of Lagos State Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
The Suit which was initiated by a certain chartered accountant – Oladapo Apara who alleged that a company; Alpha-Beta Consulting as well as Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Akin Doherty mismanaged funds received as Lagos State (IGR).
Claims by the complainant and the Court Writs of Summons obtained by Heritage Times, detailed how Tinubu, in partnership with Oladapo Apara and others used Alpha Beta Consulting in the collection of IGR for Lagos State since 2010.
Apara claims that Alpha Beta Consulting company which later became a partnership was secretly controlled by Tinubu.
The Partnership received an estimated commission of over one hundred and fifty billion Naira from the Lagos State Government as commission for its services between 2010 to date, with the profits of the Partnership being the said sum, minus legitimate costs.
Apara also claimed that despite the huge income made by the company since 2010, Tinubu with his cronies have breached Clause 8 of the Partnership Agreement and denied his share of the profit from the Partnership as provided in the Agreement.
The complainant added that Tinubu’s minions have conspired to run the affairs of the business in a manner designed to bankrupt the business, through suspicious monetary transfers to 3rd parties running into billions of naira contrary to the Partnership Agreement.
In the General writ of summons dated 2nd October 2020, suit number LD/7330GCMW/2020, issued by Tade Ipadeola Solicitors and Advocates, the complainant asked for an Order compelling an account of all sums due to the Claimant from 2010 till date.
He also is seeking an order tracing all funds and assets due to the claimant from the inception of the Alpha Beta Consulting to date, among others.
