Egypt’s U-20 team has set up a training camp in Qatar, less than two months before the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast from 26 April to 18 May.
According to the team’s itinerary, they will travel to Qatar next week, where they will also play several friendly matches.
Their test match schedule begins with a game against the host nation on 19 March, followed by fixtures against the United Arab Emirates on 22 March and Croatia on 26 March.
Egypt has been drawn into Group B of the U-20 AFCON, where they will face Morocco, South Africa, and Nigeria.
The tournament also serves as a qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, with the top four teams securing a spot in the global event, set to be held in Chile from 27 September to 19 October 2026.
