Egyptian Minster of Health, Hala Zayed has disclosed that unvaccinated people will not be allowed entry into Egypt’s educational instructions henceforth.
According to Zayed, the decision was informed due to the fast spread of the Delta variant of coronavirus, adding that the country’s political leadership has instructed that a ban be put in place stopping those who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 from entering universities and schools.
The minister explained that there are plans to vaccinate workers in the higher education institutions or about 5.5 million people, ahead of the start of the new school year.
According to government statements, only six million people have been vaccinated so far, while the government estimates that 40 million people will be inoculated by the end of the year.
