For the third consecutive matchday, Premier League table toppers Arsenal had to grapple with another draw at the end of a crucial match.
The latest of it all happened on Friday night when both visiting Southampton and gunners settled for a 3-3 draw to further hurt Arsenal chances of winning the league.
While proceedings were on, Mikel Arteta’s boys had to come from behind to force relegation threatened Saints to share the spoils ahead of Wednesday’s decider against Man City at the Etihad.
Arsenal had before Friday’s game played out a 2-2 draw against West Ham and Liverpool respectively.
They are now condemned to winning at the Etihad to have any realistic chance of winning the league.
A look at the league table shows that the gunners still lead the log with 75 points, while Man City with two games in hand have 70 points.
Southampton are still bottom of the league despite their spirited efforts.
Saints are within three points of safety now, but will rue two huge points dropped at the Emirates.
