The government of Eswatini have announced the death of her prime minister Ambrose Dlamini.
The Heritage Times had reported that PM, Ambrose Dlamini, tested positive to the novel coronavirus in November and was transferred to a hospital in South Africa to fast-track his recovery from the Covid-19 virus.
A government statement revealed that Dlamini, died on Sunday afternoon in the South African hospital at the age 52.
Dlamini had been prime minister of Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, since October 2018.
The tiny landlocked country in southern Africa is one of the last absolute monarchies in the world.
Eswatini health ministry reveals that the country has so far confirmed 6,442 Covid-19 cases and 122 deaths.
