Netherlands and England will on Wednesday July 10 clash in the semi-final stage of the 2024 European Championship taking place in Germany.
While Netherlands stopped Turkey in the quarter-final, England overcame Switzerland in the other last eight encounter.
Netherlands overcame the pressure from the stands and Turkey’s energetic style, as well as a flurry of late chances, to reach the Euros last four for the first time since 2004 despite the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Olympiastadion.
On the other hand, the Three Lions needed penalties to see off Switzerland in their quarter-final clash on Saturday.
The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes, with Bukayo Saka’s long-range effort cancelling out Breel Embolo’s second half opener.
Manuel Akanji was the only player who missed from 12 yards as England confirmed their place in the final four for a second consecutive tournament.
It will be first European Championship encounter for the Three Lions since they won 4-1 at Wembley in 1996.
France will play Spain in the other semi-final match ahead of final berth on Sunday July 14.
