Nigerian duo of Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey were in action while Leon Balogun was benched in Rangers’ 1-0 loss away to Leipzig, in the Europa League first leg semi-final on Thursday.
Bassey who recently won the the club’s Young Player of the Year saw action for 90 minutes while Aribo was replaced with seven minutes left in the game.
A late Angelino goal sealed the win for the German Bundesliga side which means Rangers must overturn the deficit to qualify for the final.
The Bundesliga side had few chances but take a narrow lead to Glasgow thanks to a stunning Angelino volley five minutes from time.
The result makes the German team firm favourites to reach the final in Seville but Rangers could turn the tie around if they can win in front of their own fans next Thursday.
With Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe out, Giovanni van Bronckhorst handed a start to Scott Wright, with Joe Aribo playing an advanced role.
Rangers will have to win at Ibrox to reach the Europa League final after losing 1-0 to RB Leipzig in the first leg of their last four tie.
