Jose Mourinho has now a reached sixth consecutive European club competition final.
Mourinho’s Victorious Dates With Roma
Before now, the Portuguese tactician led his club Roma to a surprise UEFA Europa Conference League final and eventual triumph last season.
A season after, same has plotted Roma’s lane to another final of the continental competition.
The latest result was achieved after Roma reached the Europa League final on Thursday night.
The Italian club hit the final after holding Bayer Leverkusen to a goalless draw, at the BayArena Leverkusen, in their second leg semi-final clash.
Edoardo Bove’s goal, in the first leg, was enough to take them through with a 1-0 aggregate score.
The Italian capital club can look forward to a second consecutive European final, having not reached one for 31 years before last season.
Previous Tactician’s European Records
Mourinho has won all five of his previous five European finals.
He won the Uefa Cup with FC Porto in 2002-03 seanon in his first European Cup final. He then went on to win the Uefa Champions League wirh the Portuguese club, the following season (2003-04).
The Portuguese coach won the Uefa Champions League with Inter Milan in 2009-10 season. Making Inter the only Italian side to win a trebble.
The ‘special one’ as he is fondly called later went on to win the UEFA Europa League with Manchester United in 2016-17 season.
Roma vs Sevilla Anticipated Final
Roma will face Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League final in Budapest on May 31.
Sevilla holds the record for the most victories, having won the competition six times since its inception.
Like, the Spanish team are yet to lose any European club competition final.
