Former Nigerian International Kingsley Udoh has revealed that he has lost his prized gold medal for the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup.
Udoh disclosed this in an interview recently.
He said, “My medal from the World Cup is missing. It was with my father before he passed on.”
He said he still has some of the other souvenirs he won in his playing career like the national honour and U17 AFCON gold medal.
Udoh, a robust-playing central defender who has played for the Super Eagles, is now trying to make ends meet as his career appears to have hit a dead end.
The Golden Eaglets beat Spain after a penalty shootout to win the 2007 U17 World Cup in South Korea.
Nsofor’s Target
Meanwhile, a former Super Eagles striker Victor Nsofor has decided to take to coaching.
Nsofor, a former Flying Eagles attacker made the confirmation while speaking to Washington Post where he also confirmed Jose Mourinho as the best coach he has worked with.
He further stated that he aimed to be as good as the Portuguese gaffer.
“He’s the best manager I’ve played under, now I’m involved in coaching, I aspire to be as good as him”.
“It was only one season but I learned a lot”, he said.
Nsofor during his playing days had 48 caps and scored 12 goals for Super Eagles.
