Reports from the United States of America reveals that a former 100 metres world champion Tori Bowie is dead.
According to USA TODAY, Bowie died from complications during childbirth on May 3, 2023.
Autopsy report from the Orange County (Florida) Medical Examiner’s Office, obtained by the US media outfit and made public on Tuesday, Bowie was approximately eight months pregnant and experiencing labour when she died.
The report further revealed that possible complications included respiratory distress and eclampsia, a rare condition which can cause seizures.
Career Record
The American won gold, silver and bronze medals at the Rio Games in 2016.
One year later, she was crowned world champion.
