Chelsea qualified into the 4h Round of the FA cup with ease following the 4-0 win over League Two side Marecombe.
The Blues scored two goals in each half of the game including Mason Mount, Timo Werner, Callum Husdon Odoi and Kai Havertz.
Chelsea almost went behind after a Marecombe player tried to catch Kepa Arrizabalaga unawares after spotting the Spanish goalie off his line.
Frank Lampard’s men took the lead in the 18th minute through Mount as his shot from outside of the 18-yard beat the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.
A minute before the interval the Blues doubled their advantage as Harvetz provided a headed assist for Werner to had a tap-in from close range.
Four minutes after the restart, Hudson-Odoi made it 3-0 as a well finishing a well-delivered assist from Hakim Ziyechi.
Havertz finally got his goal in the game after heading home Ceasar Azpilicueta’s cross from the right to make it 4-0.
The win will come as a huge relief for Lampard who has lost four in six in their last six matches as the Blues prepare their Premier League clash against Fulham.
