The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has announced a temporary closure of the E-Finger screening area of the Mohammed Muritala International Airport, Lagos.
As contained in a statement made available on Tuesday by Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager, Corporate Affairs of FAAN, the closure is to allow for maintenance.
“Consequently, all human and cargo movement have been temporarily diverted to the D-Finger screening area until the maintenance and upgrade is completed.
“The Authority appeals to passengers and other airport users to please bear with us, as we hope to reopen the area as soon as possible. FAAN is committed to her core values of Safety, Security and Comfort,” the statement added.
Earlier, Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde had donated a brand new fire truck to the Ibadan airport.
The truck was handed over to Ibadan Airport Manager, Mrs Aiyenuro Tega by the state’s Commissioner for Public Works and Infrastructure, Prof Daudu Doyin, at the Government House, Ibadan.
