Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) have stormed Kabul University at Afghanista in the early hours of Monday to unleash terror during a book fair attended by an Iranian ambassador.
At least 22 are reported dead while 22 were injured. The wounded victims are in critical condition and there are fears that the death tolls may increase as a result.
Ahmad Samim, a university student, told journalists, that he saw militants armed with pistol and assault rifles firing at the school.
The Taliban promptly issued a statement denying a part in the attack in the early hours of the attack.

The Islamic State group have claimed responsibility for the attack saying it targeted newly graduated “judges and investigators belonging to the apostate Afghan government gathered at the campus.”
According to interior ministry’s spokesman, three of the IS attackers have been killed but this contradicted the IS group’s statement which said only two of its members carried out the attack.
