Real Madrid suffered an injury scare after Belgian forward Eden Hazard limped off in their 2 – 1 defeat at home to Alaves on Saturday.
Hazard only managed 28 minutes before being replaced by Rodrygo. However, the extent of the injury has not been disclosed yet.
This could disrupt Zinedine Zidane’s plans as their Spanish League title defence hopes has been put in the ice.
Real sit fourth on the table with six points behind current table-toppers Real Sociedad.
Meanwhile, Zidane said during his post-match conference that the injury was minor as quoted by Goal. “I think and hope it’s just a knock. “I hope it’s not muscular.”
Hazard’s reign at the Bernabeu has been heavily marred by a series of injuries and he could be out for some time.
He was making his third Spanish League appearances this campaign but he could finish the opening half of the game.
