A new N-Power enrolment portal has been launched to commence the registration of batch C N-Power applicants.
The new enrolment portal under the National Social Investment and Information Management System (NASIMS) was launched on Thursday in Abuja.
It was created for easy access, inclusion, transparency, institutional memory and dynamic impact assessment of the N-Power cluster.
Speaking at the launch of the portal, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq said the N-Power is a highly impactful social investment programme that has directly benefited over 1million youths and is now positioned to be more effective through the deployment of the NASIMS.
The minister also disclosed “that by commencing the administration of the N-Power batch C through the national social investment and information management system beneficiaries will be able to receive their stipends in a timely and efficient manner, have access to a wide range of industry-specific contents for an optimised learning experience, leveraging the enterprise learning management module of NASIMS.
“Actively interact and engage with industry experts for hands-on experiences and learning, communicate their concerns and promptly receive feedback from the programme implementation teams and other stakeholders from the comfort zones regardless of their location”.
She also said this will enable applicants to “Experience a redefined and seamless beneficiary verification process which addresses the challenges earlier experienced with periodic beneficiary verification and experience an efficient transition and exit management plan which allows beneficiaries to be migrated automatically to the next programme for onward possible placement and employment opportunities with federal government agencies”
According to her, the new portal was structured to onboard 1million new beneficiaries, beginning with an initial 500,000 beneficiaries in the first stream and a subsequent 500,000 in the second stream, all aligned to the national policy drive of lifting 100 million people out of abject poverty in 10 years.”
All Batch C applicants have been migrated onto NASIMS and instructed to log into the N-Power self-service portal on www.nasims.gov.ng an email and SMS will be sent out to applicants with login details and guidelines for the next immediate steps.
Applicants are to log into the NASIMS portal to upgrade their records and take a mandatory online test. Successful applicants will go through a validation process and successful applicants will be communicated to and on boarded into the program.
It is worthwhile to note that NASIMS is the new electronic platform through which the N-Power will be administered onwards because of the impact of covid-19, the social intervention program is undergoing series of strategic realignment and restructuring with the view to optimize operations, maximize impacts and drive efficient coordination and management aimed to deliver even more socio-economic benefits to the poor and vulnerable.
