The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) has released the names and pictures of some inmates who escaped from the Owerri Custodial Centre, Imo state.
Unidentified gunmen stormed the Owerri Custodial Center in the early hours of Monday and freed over 1800 inmates. 84 of the inmates have so far returned to the custodial center.
Releasing the name and faces of the escaped inmates via its official Twitter handle, the NCS noted that efforts were on to release more names and faces of the fleeing inmates for the public to assist in their re-arrest.
