The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has lifted the suspension placed on the Chadian Football Association, theheritagetimes.com reports.
The football association was suspended following government’s interference in football and the suspension led to their disqualification from 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
On March 10 this year, the Chadian Ministry of Youth and Sports decided to disassemble the Chadian FA owing to their alleged poor management and bad communication.
The move however did not augur well, as it produced an indefinite suspension from global football.
“After taking note that the Chadian government authorities have reinstated the powers delegated to the Chadian FA (FTFA) and repealed their decision to establish a national committee for the temporary management of football, as well as that the FTFA’s premises are once again under the control of President Moctar Mahamoud, the Bureau of the FIFA Council has decided to lift the suspension of the FTFA with immediate effect,” the statement reads.
