This time in the ranking released on Thursday November 30, 2023 via FIFA website, Nigeria remained sixth in Africa but moved from 40th to 42nd.
The drop in the ranking is connected with the team’s disappointing showing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
They played out 1-1 draws with the Likuena of Lesotho and Warriors of Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles are third in their group behind Rwanda and South Africa.
