At the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, around 16,000 tickets were sold for the showpiece as McGregor reportedly took home £100million despite losing the fight.

On the other hand, Mayweather last stepped into the ring in 2018 where he defeated featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, in an exhibition out in Japan.
Mayweather’s rematch with McGregor is expected to generate hundreds of millions in revenue with the proposed venue which would only have VIP tickets sold.
