Just as Manchester United winger Antony is grappling with sexual assault allegations by his former girlfriend Gabriela Cavalin, another lady, Rayssa de Freitas, has spoken out.
This is after he was dropped by Brazil earlier this week following the earlier allegations.
More Allegations
According to the Brazilian media, De Freitas alleged that she required hospital treatment after being assaulted by Antony and a woman in May 2022.
Reports in various outlets revealed that De Freitas had reported the alleged incident to the Sao Paulo Civil Police.
Also, another woman, Ingrid Lana, claimed in a television interview she was pressured by Antony to have sex while on a business trip to England last year.
Lana alleged that Antony invited her to his house and pushed her against a wall which led to her banging her head.
Antony’s Reaction
While reacting to the initial allegations, Antony told Brazilian tv Primeiro Impacto, “I do not support violence against women ever. It’s totally wrong, 100 per cent wrong. I have a mother, a sister, and I would never want this to happen to them.
“Hitting a woman is something that doesn’t cross my mind. I know the truth will come out and it will show up. I know there are a lot of people butchering me, but the truth comes out.
“Brazil excluding me? It was hard. I felt really bad because it was for something that wasn’t true.
“I never touched that girl. I’m never going to headbutt a person. I’m 100% sure I’ve never touched a woman. And I’ll come up with the evidence. People will see the truth. I’m sure I’ve never committed physical violence.”
