Heavyweight British fighter Tyson Fury is currently breeding the idea of buying a football club.
According to him, he has been offered the chance to buy his hometown club and League One minnows Morecambe
He said his plans is to turn the club side to Premier League heavyweights in the nearest future.
Fury made the shock revelation while speaking to hosts Jim White and Simon Jordan, the former owner of Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The WBC champion, who recently announced his trilogy fight with Derek Chisora for December 3, struck a partnership with the League One side in the summer.
Fury’s ‘Gypsy King’ brand is embroidered on The Shrimps’ home and away shorts for the current campaign.
He has earned tens of millions for his trilogy bouts with Deontay Wilder and his Wembley win over Dillian Whyte.
And he has used that to develop close links with his local team – who sit six points from safety – by investing in their training facilities as well as the sponsorship deal.
Now the unbeaten boxing star, who is a proud Manchester United fan, has announced that he wants to support them even further by buying the bottom of the table outfit.
