Out of favour Chelsea striker, Oliver Giroud will have to consider offers from top European clubs when the transfer window opens by January so as to secure a place in Didier Deschamp’s squad to Euro 2021.
The French man has only managed to start in the League Cup this season; having fallen from the Blues’ pecking order following the arrival of Timo Werner and the choice of Tammy Abraham as a second striker after the German forward.
But, the 34 -year-old has impressed greatly for his national team, scoring five goals in his last eight outing with les bleus.
The World Cup winner has been advised by Deschamps to leave Chelsea if he wants to retain his position in the French national team ahead of next year’s tournament.
France’s manager told the radio station RTL: “Olivier Giroud knows it; the situation he’s in today cannot drag on forever. “Before March he will have to find another situation than this one.
“He knows what I think, even if I don’t forget everything he has done [for the national team] and everything he would still be able to do.”
Italian giants, Inter Milan have been linked with Giroud in the past and Nerazzurri boss Antonio Conte knows of the striker’s ability in front of goal.
