President William Ruto has reaffirmed his belief that his leadership is a divine assignment to transform Kenya.
Speaking during a church service at the United Pentecostal Church of Kenya in Dagoretti North, Nairobi, on Sunday, Ruto expressed his commitment to fulfilling what he described as a God-given mission to unite and develop the nation.
“There is a job God has given me to lead this nation and an assignment to transform Kenya. I have every intention to make sure we fulfill this mission,” the President said.
Ruto emphasized the importance of collaboration among all leaders, regardless of political affiliations or regional divides, to achieve national progress. He noted that no single individual, political party, or region could single-handedly transform the country.
“It is the reason I am ready to work with all leaders and unite all Kenyans to fulfill God’s plan. Together, we can achieve much,” he added.
The President expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as Kenya’s leader, highlighting his pride in being the country’s Head of State. He acknowledged the challenges he faced before assuming office, particularly skeptics who doubted his political journey.
“Some people once thought I wouldn’t even have a term as President. Now, I am grateful to God for granting me this chance to lead Kenya,” Ruto said.
He also dismissed discussions about his tenure, addressing both critics who predict he will only serve one term and those advocating for extended leadership beyond constitutional limits.
Accompanied by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and other leaders, Ruto reiterated his call for unity across political and regional divides, emphasizing that only through collective efforts can Kenya achieve meaningful transformation.
