Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has met a citizen of Plateau State, Miss Sylvia Ulan Andrew who scored A1 in all the subjects she sat for during the last West African Senior School Certificate Examination WASSCE.
Ulan hails from Bokkos LGA of Plateau state is a student of Premier Academy, Lugbe Abuja and has an excellent track record of academic laurels including emerging as the overall best at national common entrance examinations which earned her a scholarship by the Shell Petroleum Company.
Governor Lalong who received the whiz kid at the state House in Jos, congratulated her for the feat, noting that Plateau State has a lot of talented individuals.
The governor went on to promise Ulan that the State will grant her scholarship to any University of her choice.
He also praised Ulan’s mother for single-handedly raising the talented youngster who was born after the death of her father.
Responding, Ulan thanked the Governor for the warm reception and promised not to disappoint him and the people of Plateau State.
She also disclosed that her passion is to be a Chemical Engineer.
On his part, Plateau State Coordinator on SDGs Mr. Sam Damla who led the family to Government House Little Rayfield said the performance of the student was a testimony of the potentials that the people of Plateau State possess which must be harnessed.
