Nasarawa State Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning in Lafia, has been robbed by gunmen suspected to be robbers.
The incident occured on Thursday afternoon when the gunmen invaded the ministry, shooting sporadically.
Heritage Times gathered that the gunmen trailed some members of staff who went to a commercial bank to withdraw some cash for the ministry.
They snatched the N100 million at gun point at the premises of the ministry and left immediately.
It was learnt that the presence of security operatives at State’s Accountant General’s Office which is adjacent to the ministry, did not stop the gunmen from perpetrating the act.
Meanwhile the state’s police command is yet to confirm the robnery, stressing that the incident had not yet been reported.
