Heritage Bank Plc, Nigeria’s innovative banking service provider has launched its robust innovation sandbox to accelerate innovation and help technology entrepreneurs build faster and better products.
The initiative which is coming on the back of the Bank’s first accelerator program that awarded the winner a grant of $25,000.00, reinforces the bank’s mission to provide technology startups with the enabling environment, resources, and support required to accelerate impactful solutions capable of solving myriads of problems affecting critical sectors of the economy.
The sandbox warehouses Financial and Non-financial Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to access features such as account opening, payments, wallet system, identity management, and many more specialized features.
It will afford a large number of innovators required access to the Bank’s infrastructure to test their ideas and significantly streamline their time to market.
The Bank’s Divisional Head Innovation & Partnerships, Ikenna Imo, while speaking on the initiative disclosed the Bank’s resolve to sustain its support and partnerships with innovative start-ups and tech entrepreneurs within Nigeria.
“This, we believe will optimize the huge potentials inherent amongst tech enthusiasts and contribute immensely to Nigeria’s economic growth and job creation,” he said.
He said in addition to the sandbox, the Bank has created a developer’s community (www.hbng.com/engage) to afford like-minded interactions between technology enthusiasts seeking to differentiate Nigeria within Africa and place our country on the world map of exceptional innovators.
