Crystal Palace manager, Roy Hodgson has praised Nigerian born midfielder, Eberechi Eze for his eye catching performance against Leeds United in match day 11 of the English Premier League.
Eze who joined from Queens Park Rangers just before the season began had cameo appearances at the beginning but is gradually playing himself into Roy Hodgson’s regular first XI.
The skillful midfielder assisted in the first goal before netting free-kick in 22nd minute to set palace up for maximum points.
Former Liverpool manager praised Eze for his general contribution to the team performance.
“I think apart from the free-kick, I thought his whole performance was very good.
“I don’t think you could fault him in any way; I don’t think you could fault his defensive work – certainly couldn’t fault anything he did on the ball, and of course the goal for me was the icing on the cake,” he told club website.
The 22-year-old England born footballer is still eligible to play for Nigeria. But, the player had disclosed he will not rush to make a decision on his international future.
