Nigeria’s House of Representatives on Tuesday lost another member in three days.
Lawmaker representing Lere Federal Constituency of Kaduna, Suleiman Aliyu, reportedly died after a brief illness in the early hours of Tuesday at the Barau Dikko Hospital in Kaduna.
“Indeed this life is nothing but a number of days,” a Twitter user who announced the passing on, adding in yet another update that the deceased’s family and community would miss his love and generosity.
It would be recalled that he deceased, who was also a former commissioner of water resources in Kaduna, was in March 2020, sworn in as the lawmaker representing Lere Federal Constituency, after the Appeal Court in Kaduna declared him the winner of the February 23, 2019 election.
His death shockingly comes barely three days after the House mourned the death of Haruna Maitala, a member who represented Jos North/Bassa federal constituency, who died in an auto crash along Abuja-Jos highway on Friday, April 2.
