Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen has demanded for a double pay of what he currently earns as a prerequisite for him to stay with Serie A Champions Napoli.
Osimhen, a Super Eagles striker receives around £4 million annually after tax, but various reports said he now wants to be paid at least £7 million.
Napoli, in turn, want to insert a hefty release clause of £200 million on this new contract.
Shared image rights between the club and the striker would also bring the parties closer to an agreement.
Few days ago, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis said the player has agreed in principle to extend his contract by two years.
His current contract runs out June 2025.
Osimhen has been a subject of serious transfer speculations after his goals crowned Napoli champions of Italy for the first time in 33 years this past season, with top clubs like PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Liverpool linked with the 24-year-old striker.
Osimhen’s latest valuation on Transfermarkt is 120 Million Euros, while Napoli reportedly now want 180 Million Euros for the player.
