Kenyan President, William Ruto has affirmed his commitment to fighting corruption in his Kenya Kwanza administration as he assured Kenyans that he would not tolerate any act of corruption.
The head of state stressed that he is ready to use the powers given to him by Kenyans to crush all corrupt officers.
President Ruto noted this while speaking during the laying of the foundation stone for the Anglican Church Grand Cathedral in Kiambu town.
According to President Ruto, the goal is to seal all corruption loopholes in his administration and fulfil his promises to Kenyans.
Ruto further warned corrupt officials and state officers that corrupt public servants have no place in his government and should be fired if they do not turn a new leaf.
“I want to tell those corrupt people it is either they change or leave the country because we will not allow that,” Ruto said
Stressing, the president stated that he would not spare any government official that partakes in the misuse of taxpayers’ money, vowing to use powers given to him by Kenyans to deal with corrupt individuals firmly.
“I was given the sword, the constitution and even the anointing. This sword is to slash those corrupt individuals. I will not spare them,” he stated.
However, the Kenya leader asked Kenyans to hold him responsible for any funds lost through corruption.
“Let everyone pay their taxes, and when you do, please question me, because you are the ones who have asked,” the president said.
