Super Eagles strikers, Kelechi Iheancho and Victor Osimhen both scored for Leicester City and Napoli in Premier League and Serie A respectively.
However, while Iheancho’s double wasn’t enough to earn Leicester City at least a point at London Stadium, Osimhen’s goal helped Napoli to ease past Sampdoria by 2-0.
Iheanacho continued in his stellar form that won him the Premier League Player of the Month for March as he scored twice in the Foxes’ defeat to West Ham United.
Iheancho scored in the 74th and 91 minutes after Leicester City had gone 3-0 down to ensure that the match ended 3-2 in favour of the Hammers.
Jesse Lingard, on loan at West Ham from Manchester United scored two first half goals to give the Hammers 2-0 first half lead.
Jarod Bowen made it 3-0 in the 48th minute before Issa Diop missed a penalty in the 54th minute.
Iheanacho rallied the Foxes late on but his two goals ended in futility as West Ham secured crucial 3 points to keep the in contention for Champions League qualification.
With the result, West Ham leaped frog Chelsea to place 4th and one point adrift Leicester City who are 3rd on the log.
In Serie A, however, Victor Osimehn scored in the 87 minute to ensure that Napoli defeated Sampdoria 2-0 in the Italian Serie A.
The result took Napoli to 4th on the log above Atlanta who have a game at hand.
