Brazilian footballer Lucas Alves who is currently with Nigerian club Kwara United has revealed that he will be glad to play represent the Super Eagles.
The Super Eagles have never had any Brazilian pledging his allegiance for Nigeria and Lucas Alves is hoping to be the first.
However, Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will be the determinant of his fate as Lucas Alves disclosed that he will grab the chance to wear the Super Eagles jersey.
”If Nigeria want me to play for them, I will be happy and I will rush to accept the chance to wear the golden Super Eagles jersey.”
”For me to have accepted to come down to Nigeria and be playing for Kwara United shows that I love this country and also the people here.’
“I have been watching the Super Eagles games for years right from when I was young during the days of Rashidi Yekini, Okocha and others and I am impressed that Nigeria has produced good footballers.”
Meanwhile, Kwara United are currently occupying first position on the Nigerian League table and Lucas Alves and his teammates will face Nasarawa United on Sunday, March 4.
