Following rising insecurity across Northern Nigeria, the Yobe State Government has shut down all boarding schools across 17 Local Government Areas.
The directive which was issued on Sunday by the state government, is expected to take immediate effect.
While there is yet to be any official statement from the government or security agencies to confirm this, one of the students reportedly told Channels Television that their teachers asked them to vacate the hostels and go home without giving them any reason.
A teacher in the school however told Channels Television that the decision was a result of the increasing security threats across boarding schools in the country.
Meanwhile, students of the Senior Secondary School, SS3 have been asked to stay behind.
