Arsenal player Folarin Balogun is reportedly meeting with the United States of America official over possible plan to switch his international allegiance.
His change of mind from playing for England might have been triggered by the country’s delay in engaging him at senior level.
Balogun whose parents were born in Nigeria has previously said he would be open to representing Africa’s most populous nation.
At it stands, he still has the choice of which country to play for as he has not appeared for the England senior side competitively.
He has rather continued his recruitment tour in the United States as the striker trained in the Orlando sun and took in an NBA game.
After Wednesday’s post on Instagram showed Balogun outside of an Orlando bar, he posted again with an image of him wearing his football boots sitting on the grass with the caption ‘This heat!’
United States caretaker coach Anthony Hudson has confirmed that talks have taken place with Balogun about him switching international allegiance.
The 21-year-old was born in the US, but raised in England, and can play for any of those three countries.
Balogun, who is on loan at French club Reims from Arsenal, has featured for England in four different youth teams.
He however, withdrew from the England Under-21 squad this week due to an injury.
