Mohammed Salah has had an incredible spell at Liverpool since joining the club in 2017. The Egyptian has been one of the top goal-scorers in the world, and has led the team to a Champions League and Premier League title.
Salah was recently asked about his future, Specifically, whether he would consider joining Real Madrid or Barcelona in the future.
“I think Madrid and Barcelona are top clubs,” Salah Said via GiveMeSport. “We never know what is going to happen in the future, but right now I’m focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League again with my club.”
Salah also reflected on how long he would like to stay at Liverpool.
“That’s a tough one, but right now I can say that everything is in the club’s hands. Of course I want to break records here and, I repeat, every record in the club, but everything’s in the hands of the club.”
Something that might factor into a potential switch to Real Madrid for Salah would be his relationship with their captain, Sergio Ramos, who injured Salah’s shoulder in the 2018 Champions League Final.
“I think everything that happens to a player, like disappointment or something, makes you stronger in your career for the future,” Salah said. “But that, getting injured, is a closed subject for me, so I don’t think about it any more.”
So I guess Salah and Ramos could potentially co-exist somewhere down the line.
During Salah’s time with the reds, he has scored an incredible 108 goals and 44 assists. We’ll see if he takes on a new challenge in the near future. For now, I think Salah has his sights set on another Premier League title with Liverpool.
