The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that Ivory Coast will host the U17 African Cup of Nations in 2025.
The West African nation has already qualified for the championship as one of the teams from the WAFU B region, but their hosting right means another country from the region could take their position.
The Ivorians were awarded the right to stage the tournament as the facilities used for the 2023 African Cup of Nations are still intact.
Meanwhile, report reaching Heritage Times HT suggests that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have reinstated the the country’s Beach Soccer National Team, popularly known as the Super Sand Eagles.
Sources within the NFF hierarchy revealed that already the Super Sand Eagles have been registered for 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON qualifiers.
With the latest development, the technical crew of the team will soon be composed.
The 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be held in Seychelles.
