The convoy of businessman and entrepreneur representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, was attacked at Enugu-Ukwu, Enugu State.

He was however said to have managed to escape with his car which was badly riddled with bullets.

A viral video already trending across the Nigerian social media space, showed gory glimpses of the devastating attack.

One of the Senator’s aides who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the attack was an assassination attempt, but that the Senator was able to escape with the aid of his bulletproof vehicle.

The aid said Senator Ubah and his convoy were passing Nkwo Enugu Ukwu junction when they were shot at from all sides by the attackers.

Senator Ubah is said to be in an undisclosed hospital where he is being monitored by doctors even though he was not physically hurt.

Senator Ubah is the CEO of Capital Oil.
