English Premier League newcomers, Nottingham Forest, have signed another Nigerian international.
He is Emmanuel Dennis who moved from Championship side, Watford.
Heritage Times HT gathered that Nottingham Forest agreed around £20m deal to sign the Super Eagles striker, weeks after his compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi joined the club.
The Athletic reported on Thursday that Forest had made an opening bid for Dennis long before West Ham United became interested in the Nigerian international, who scored 10 goals and recorded six assists for Watford in the Premier League last term.
Watford owner Gino Pozzo was determined to get the right fee for his player and Forest have now met the valuation.
Dennis’ former club, Club Bruges, will receive a five per cent sell-on fee, but Watford still stand to make a significant profit on a player they bought for £3million.
Forest Head Coach Steve Cooper has overseen a major summer revamp to prepare for the top flight, making 12 signings so far.
Cooper’s team play West Ham United at home this Sunday August 14, 2022.
