Armed Bandits have abducted Dr. Mansur Muhammad, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Dansadau General Hospital in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The CMD was kidnapped at Mashayar Zaki, a dreaded spot along the 100 km Gusau- Dansadau road.
Confirming the incident, Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association in Zamfara State, Dr. Mannir Bature, said his
Association had received with deep shock the report of Kidnap of their colleague.
“We urge our members and the general public to include him and other captives in their prayers while the association work with relevant authorities to ensure his timely release in good health,” Dr Bature said.
Heritage Times HT reports that the Gusau- Dansadau road has become a nightmare for travellers, with many passengers avoiding the route.
Others who have been bold enough to ply the road have either been kidnapped or killed.
The state is one of the worst-hit in Nigeria’s North-eastern region.
