Armed bandits in the early hours of Monday morning attacked Genuine Estate, a private estate in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja.
Heritage Times HT gathered that the bandits came armed with machetes, daggers, and cutlasses, as they outnumbered and overpowered the security guards on duty before invading the premises.
“They operated in the estate for about three hours. They abducted some of the residents,” a source said, as details remain sketchy.
The bandits reportedly got to the estate on 6th Avenue behind Efab Queens around 1am and operated for at least 3hours before they left.
Reacting to the incident, Spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, said it case was a robbery case and not kidnapping.
She added that the police had already been mobilised to the scene for investigation.
