Several female students of the Federal Government Girls College Yawuri in Kebbi State, Nigeria, have been reportedly kidnapped by armed bandits.
According to reports, bandits took a yet to be ascertained number of students from the school.
Sources say the who bandits broke into the school premises on Thursday afternoon, wore police uniforms.
“They pointed a gun at the school guards and asked them for the girls’ hostels. Before you know what was happening the bandits invaded the school and started abducting female students,” the source said.
This attacks comes amidst President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Nigerian troops battling Boko Haram and other criminal elements in the troubled North-Eastern Nigeria.
