President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have received their first jabs of the Oxford University AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Their vaccination comes a day after the Federal Government flagged off the vaccination exercise across the country.
The jab which was administered on the nation’s leaders on Saturday, were done by their respective Chief Personal Physicians in the presence of other members of the Federal Executive Council, FEC.
Both leaders were subsequently presented with their e-vaccination cards by the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, Faisal Shuaib.
Heritage Times had reported that the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination commenced yesterday, with frontline health workers receiving the first jabs voluntarily.
