The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday arrested the former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, over alleged money laundering.
According to the Spokesperson of the EFCC, Wilson Uwajaren, Okorocha was arrested at his office in Abuja.
While confirming the arrest, he said “Okorocha has been arrested by our men. It is true,” he said in a telephone chat with Vanguard.
The erstwhile governor and incumbent Governor Hope Uzodinma have been at loggerheads since the latter came into office on the ruling of the Supreme Court.
Uzodinma has since vowed to recover all “stolen” assets from his predecessor.
