Liverpool Football Club and Feyenoord have reportedly agreed for Arne Slot to replace Jurgen Klopp as Manager at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the agreement on his official account on April 26, 2024.
A compensation deal has been sealed between the two parties.
Slot is seen as the perfect replacement for Klopp, having led Feyenoord to their second Eredivisie title last season.
He has been one of Liverpool’s top candidates since Klopp announced his departure from Anfield.
Specifically, Klopp publicly endorsed Slot on Friday as a ‘good coach and good guy’, with the German now having just four games remaining as Liverpool boss.
The agreement also is expected to include a move for Slot’s right-hand man Sipke Hulshoff, who has done a secondment at the Netherlands national team, and head of performance Ruben Peeters.
Slot took over as Feyenoord manager in 2021 and confirmed his interest in managing in the Premier League when he was linked with Tottenham in 2023.
