Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has now signed a contract with Leicester City, former Premier League champions.
Ndidi penned down a three-year deal.
The star player, whose previous contract ended at the end of last season became a free agent and was linked with several clubs in the Premier League including Aston Villa.
The 27-year-old, who joined the club from KRC Genk, is now set to continue at the KingsPower Stadium.
Already, the midfield maestro has expressed excitement over the new deal which keeps him at the club till 2027.
He said, “I feel great, I feel excited, I feel at home, that is the most important thing.
“I feel really happy to continue with the Club. My family is settled here and everyone is back home, when they say Ndidi, they say Leicester also.
“It’s amazing to be a part of this journey going forward.”
Ndidi has made 273 appearances and scored 17 goals for the club since his arrival in 2017.
