Almost six months after her disappearance, Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari has returned to the country from Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Mrs. Buhari had quietly relocated on ‘vacation’ to the UAE after attending the wedding of one of her daughters, Hanan, who got married in September 2020.
It would be recalled that her relocation came weeks after an altercation between her aides and those of her husband’s assistant, Sabiu Tunde, which led to a fracas in Aso Rock, and later escalated into gunshots being fired.
The first lady reportedly cited the brewing insecurity as reasons for her decision to leave the country.
While Aisha is currently at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, it is unclear whether she has finally returned to live in the country fully.
