Following their recent takeover, Newcastle United has announced that it’s Coach Steve Bruce has left the club by mutual consent.
The club which is owned by a Saudi-based consortium confirmed his exit via an official statement on Wednesday.
“Newcastle United can confirm that Steve Bruce has left his position as head coach by mutual consent.
Graeme Jones will lead the team on an interim basis, starting with trip to Crystal Palace,” the statement read.
According to reports making the rounds, former Chelsea Manager, Antonio Conte has been tipped as Bruce’s successor.
However, it remains to be seen if the Italian will most likely welcome a return to the English Premier League.
During Conte’s two-year stint at Stamford Bridge, he won the Premier League title in his debut season, and went on to lead the team to FA Cup glory in the subsequent campaign.
Despite his managerial success at the club, Conte was shown the exit over failure to steer the Blues to continental glory.
