Immediate past Chelsea Coach, Thomas Tuchel, is set to take over the reins of Bayern Munich, after Julian Nagelsmann was given the boot.
It is understood that Tuchel has already agreed a two-year deal with the German soccer powerhouse, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Bayern went into the international break off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Bayern Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
The result, coupled with Dortmund’s 6-1 win over Koln, means the squad have been knocked off the top of the table.
Bayern, already through to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, will host Dortmund shortly after the international break in Der Klassiker and will slip four points behind Edin Terzic’s side if they are beaten.
Thereafter, Bayern will face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final berth.
Guardiola had coached Bayern.
The winners of the upcoming UCL encounter between City and his former side, will face Real Madrid or Chelsea for a place in the final.
Still after the international break, Bayern will have its hand full at home in Germany.
First up for them, is the visit from Dortmund, followed by a DFB-Pokal quarter-final clash with Freiburg.
