One of Nigeria’s opposition party, Hope Democratic Party, on Monday lost legal battle seeking the sack of President Muhammadu Buhari in a suit that faulted his election in 2019.
The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja presided over by Justice Inyang Ekwo had dismissed the suit by the party’s former presidential candidate Ambrose Owuru on three grounds.
The court held that the suit constituted a gross abuse of court process, statute barred and was an affront to the supremacy of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
