Hundreds of Kenyans on Monday stormed former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s farm on the outskirts of Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, and made away with an unknown number of livestock.
The intruders also cut down trees using power saws, stole livestock, and set the farm on fire, a BBC report says.
Reasons for the invasion was not immediately ascertained.
A similar attack was also reported in a firm belonging to the family of opposition leaders Raila Odinga.
This comes amid opposition protests in Kenya against the administration of President William Ruto.
Raila and his supporters are protesting the high cost of living in the East African country, a demonstration that started last week Monday and led to the arrest of opposition lawmakers.
Most businesses remained closed for the better part of Monday morning as Raila supporters engaged police in running battles for a second week.
Raila announced that they will be participating in the mass protest twice a week – Monday and Thursday.
